A Priceless Legacy

a priceless legacyYou could have come down from the cross

And spared Yourself great pain

For there was nothing stopping You…

Yet You chose to remain.

You knew that someone had to pay

The price for mankind’s sin.

You knew that if You turned Your back

The enemy would win.

Despite the people’s jeering

And defaming of Your name,

You walked the road to Calvary

Enduring unjust shame.

You let them nail You to the cross

Without a word or sigh

So we could live eternally…

In our place You would die.

The priceless legacy You left

Is filled with love and grace…

You promise that if we believe

We’ll see You face to face.

I thought I would send an early Easter poem to remind us of how blessed we are to have a God who loves us so much that he sent His only son to die on the cross in our place so that we can spend eternity with Him. If we will repent of our sins and accept Him as our Lord and Savior we can be sure of meeting Him one day face to face. There is no greater gift.

Thanks for stopping by to visit. I plan to post twice a month, once with a devotion, and once with a poem. Would love your feedback.

Have a blessed week filled with God’s abundant blessings. We serve an awesome God who never ceases to amaze me.
